The Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) today named Brenda Marion Nevidjon, RN, MSN, FAAN, as its new chief executive officer (CEO), effective September 1.

Margaret Barton-Burke, PhD, RN, FAAN, Takes Office as President of Oncology Nursing Society

Margaret Barton-Burke, PhD, RN, FAAN, took office as president of the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) at its 39th Annual Congress in Anaheim, CA. She is the Mary Ann Lee Endowed Professor in the College of Nursing, University of Missouri–St. Louis, and a research scientist at Siteman Cancer Center in St. Louis.

ONS Honored With Industry Publishing Awards

The Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) was recognized for excellence in publishing by the Association Media and Publishing (AM&P) during the organization’s 34th Annual EXCEL Awards Gala in Tysons Corner, VA. ONS Websites Will Not Be Compatible With Internet Explorer 8, as Microsoft Ends Support in April

Beginning April 8, 2014, Microsoft is ending support for Internet Explorer 8 (IE8), an older version of its popular web browser, as part of a larger effort to phase out its older Microsoft XP operating system. This means Microsoft will no longer develop security patches or other upgrades for IE8.
